Episode VII Heats Up!

Well its been quite the week for Episode VII and the future of Star Wars films! Monday, June 2nd - Saw 40+ images taken from the same set director JJ Abrams previously revealed in his Force for Change campaign video.  The photos appear to have been taken purposely as many of the subjects were smiling and posing.  The images were "leaked" by TMZ and can be found on their website. Also that day StarWars.com announced two additional cast remembers for Episode VII. Lupita Nyong'o joins the recently announced cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. This year, her breakthrough performance in 12 Years a Slave earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Gwendoline Christie, currently starring in the hit television series Game of Thrones as Brienne of Tarth, has also been [...]

When Seattle, Star Wars & Comicon Collide

Just over two weeks ago From 4-LOM to Zuckuss attended and presented at Seattle's Emerald City Comicon. Despite the con not having a huge Star Wars focus there was plenty of ways for fans to indulge in the Force.  Prior to the convention we released our "Star Wars Guide to Emerald City Comicon" which detailed many of the Star Wars related panels and activities available at the con but even despite our research there were even more Star Wars fun to be had.  The following is just some of the fun we had at the con. The Exhibitor Hall Like many cons the exhibitor sales floor contained a wide range of vintage and modern, under and over-priced and well loved to minty mint action figures. [...]

Mythbusters begins 2014!

Last night's special Star Wars episode of Mythbusters, entitled Star Wars: Revenge of the Myth, gave us both our first new Star Wars media of the new year but also our first addition to our section "Lights! Camera! Action (Figures)! " which is our expanding filmography of all Kenner and Hasbro Star Wars action figures on the small and big silver screens. The Mythbusters season opener set out to prove plausible or not three scenes from the Original Trilogy.  These included the Death Star chasm swing, the Ewok log vs AT-ST attack and if a Luke could have survived long enough within a Tauntaun for Han to build a shelter.  The latter of these was of course were The Vintage Collection Tauntaun appeared as [...]

Kenobi’s The Vintage Collection Jedi Starfighter Varriation

Prior to the action figure drought (which ran from mid 2012 to mid 2013) Star Wars action figures were being released fast and furious through multiple lines such as Movie Heroes, The Clone Wars and The Vintage Collection.  With so many releases it was easy to fall behind and become fatigued with the amount of reissues Hasbro was providing.  The Vintage Collection's Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter from the opening of Episode III's Battle of Coruscant sequence was released prior to the drought with little fanfare as most collector's already had this vehicle and preferred their "vintage" vehicles to be from the Original Trilogy.  So Obi-Wan's Jedi Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor sat on Toys 'R' Us shelves and eventually turned up at discount stores such as Tuesday Mornings. Now [...]

The Action Figure History of Episode III’s Jedi Starfighters

With the recent Saga Legends release of two all-new Jedi Starfigther vehicles, From 4-LOM to Zuckuss is taking a look back at the previous incarnations of the Episode III spaceship.  So sit back, strap-in and put just your headpiece on (because apparently flight suits are not needed during the prequel ear?) as we fly through each release and reissue of the Jedi’s newest and last starfigther. The year is 2005 and the release of Star War Episode III: Revenge of the Sith saw our heroes following the Prequel Trilogy tradition of piloting different vehicles with each successive film.  Unlike the Original Trilogy where X-Wings and Falcons remained steadfast throughout the series, the prequels preferred to switch it up with each new installment.  In the opening [...]
