Gift of the Galaxy Celebrates the Prequels!

This morning as part of Star Wars Gift of the Galaxy product program, Hasbro announced three new action figure sets. With 2024 being the 25th anniversary of the Prequel Trilogy, all of these sets slated for next year are PT focused. While the only Vintage Collection entry this week looks amazing, some have become frustrated over the pricing of this deluxe figure. The last time a super-articulated Jango was released in TVC (1) it retailed for $8-9 making this release 12 years later a 300% increase with just as many accessories. On the flip side, the Retro Collection comes in priced at a cool $60 for 6 figures, which returns the line to the 10-dollar-price-point. Bring Home the Galaxy Week 1 Hasbro Reveals

This Fall Lucasfilm is promoting their "9-week gift-giving celebration" they are calling Bring Home the Galaxy. This program, running through December 13th, will highlight, "brand-new product reveals and spotlights evergreen must-haves from across consumer products, games and publishing, inspired by the expansive Star Wars portfolio including series like Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Mandalorian, classic content like the Skywalker saga films, animated works like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and much more." Obi-Wan Wednesdays – June 8th

Obi-Wan Wednesdays continue this week with the release of the rest of the Obi-Wan Kenobi-themed Retro Collection wave! This wave includes three Inquisitors (counting Reva from Week #1) plus the Dark Lord of Sith who are all tasked with tracking down the wandering Jedi which is aided and abetted by a loader droid. This wave is set to ship this September according to etailers which is a rather quick turnaround when it comes to new media Star Wars and product releases from Hasbro. Obi-Wan Wednesdays – May 25th

Each week during the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+, there will be product drops that tie into the live-action series. The first week focuses on the Third Sister, Reva! May the 4th Livestream Press Release

Hasbro kicked off the celebration of this year's May the 4th Day with their very own Livestream on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel! During the Fan First Wednesday event, the Brand Team did announce they would be returning to conventions this month with Star Wars Celebration.   The reveals in regards to what was shown for The Vintage Collection consisted 100% of reissued/repainted figures. The same went for the reissue box set of the Retro Collection that will be at first a Disney Park exclusive. Hasbro Pulse Livestream April ’22 Press Release

This morning Hasbro Pulse featured a number of reveals on their Fan First Wednesday Livestream on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel. Retro Collection Special Bounty Hunters 2-Pack Press Release

This morning Amazon surprised vintage and modern collectors by dropping a "new expression" to the Retro Collection line. The Bounty Hunters 2-Pack includes modern reissues of two famous Kenner figures from The Empire Strikes Back. Dengar and IG-88 are coming to the retro line later this year in this two-pack. The set is exclusive to Amazon and is currently up for preorder here. Mando Mondays Press Release

This morning Lucasfilm launched their first official Mando Mondays with not only the debut of tons of new products based on The Mandolorian but staring many of the stars from the hit Disney+ series. Toy lines such as LEGO and Funko were represented by Hasbro stole the show with numerous releases. Each of the items previewed in the video went up for sale at 1 PM PST. On this particular Monday, Target, Wal*Mart, Amazon, and Hasbro Pulse/Shop Disney all had exclusives. In a surprising move, Hasbro chose to not make their latest Retro Collection line exclusive to any one retailer. #RetroRedo Challenge Winner
