Critters, Trekkies and Dinosaurs – Filmography Updated

As we head into the second half of the year (which will result in a new Star Wars film!!!!) we are sure Star Wars and its many collectibles will soon become more visible throughout all forms of media. To this end we will be keeping an eye on Star Wars-inclusive television and motion pictures in order to continue to add to our action figure filmography. Today we have a couple of updates to add to our Lights! Camera! Action (Figures)! database with one being so blatantly absent we found ourselves laughing quite a bit upon realizing its absence. Thanks to our co-hosts from Galaxy of Toys Podcast Jason pointed out a slick silver custom Y-Wing in Critters and Ryan a Kenner Snowspeeder in Jurassic World. Trekkies surprisingly enough stars [...]

Below is a gallery of the 10 covers in question and to find out more about these issues and other times Kenner designs have shown up outside of the action figure line head on over The Kenner Cameo Chronology! Now when it comes to Kenner's first 12 figures, the artist John Tyler Christopher only has four left: Stormtrooper, Death Squad Commander (Death Destroyer Commander), Tusken Raider and Jawa. It will be interesting to see if Marvel chooses to commission these last four as none are main characters like the previous releases which appears to be their focus. Until Lando [...]

Kenner Cameo – Action Figure Variant Covers

Marvel Comics has been showing Star Wars action figures a lot of love lately with their steady release of variant covers for their Star Wars comic books. The artist John Tyler Christopher has depicted 5 covers to date with one more announced so far. Each "Action Figure Variant" cover features a figure from the first 12 Kenner figures released. Both the cardback and figure illustrations are not meant to be exact replications of the vintage figures but have a very close ascetic to the originals to justify their inclusion in our Kenner Cameo Chronology. 2015 On April 22nd, Marvel Comics will release an 'Action Figure Variant' cover for Star Wars #4 which will feature a carded Kenner-inspired Chewbacca action figure by John Tyler Christopher. On March 11th, Marvel Comics released [...]

Exclusive Interview with Philip Reed – Author

Star Wars action figures are awesome! More than just movie toys; they have been a staple in toy aisles for decades, become pop culture icons and are credited for jump-starting the collectability of action figure toys the world over. We here at From4-LOMtoZuckuss.com appreciate what Lucasfilm, Kenner and Hasbro have created so much so that we have dedicated ourselves to covering all things Star Wars action figure related and that’s where you come in! We are seeking out those who share our passion, to share their thoughts and memories of playing with and collecting those amazing little figures from a galaxy far, far away. 4LOMKUSS: Philip to be honest, I doubted that we would have time for this interview because as being a fellow child of the [...]

Win Sy Snootles!

'What vintage Kenner action figure would you still like to see Hasbro make?' This has been the question on our minds lately. Despite Hasbro being currently focused on producing figures from Star Wars Rebels and the upcoming The Force Awakens we can't help but to think about the figures they have yet to make from the original Kenner line. Hasbro has updated many of the "92" figures from the vintage line but long time collectors and completist know that there are still some figures that a) Hasbro has yet to be do and b) more accurate versions they should do. By the picture below, it should be clear on who our choice is. We dearly want Hasbro to produce an updated non-Special Edition version of Sy Snootles. She has never appeared in [...]

Kenner Cameos: The Clone Wars Season 5

Welcome to another installment of Kenner Cameos! Here it is our goal to provide a guide for every time a Kenner (and Hasbro) concept or design has been showcased, outside of the action figure line, in Star Wars collectibles, publishing, animation and so on. This week we take a look at The Clone Wars animated series which ran from 2008-2014. This series, despite its 100+ episodes, did not lean heavily on the use of Kenner nor Hasbro designs much like Lucasfilm's current series Star Wars Rebels does. But in Season Five the series throw in a few nods the the vintage line.  - 2013 - Walrus Man On January 5th, the episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars titled "Missing in Action" debuted. The episode appeared in [...]

RIP Nien Nunb AKA Richard Bonehill

This week Richard Bonehill one of the actors who portrayed Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi passed away.  Bonehill literally wore many hats during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back and Jedi. In addition to Lando's co-pilot, he portrayed multiple soldiers on both sides of the war. To see a complete listing of his characters, check out Bonehill's website.
