ECCC 2019 Wrap Up Coverage

With ECCC now a week behind us, we've finally had time to properly process this year's experience. As always, we view conventions through mostly Star Wars-tinted glasses and this year was a doozy. We, of course, have already indicated the massive amount of Star Wars opportunities at this year's show in our annual Guide to Star Wars at Emerald City Comic Con. What we forgot to mention was the incredible collaboration by the many costuming groups in the Seattle area. Star Wars: The Ultimate Experience was put on as a fundraiser for Seattle Children's Hospital and a great experience indeed for fans of any part of the Saga! Jabba’s Barge International Release Date

Hasbro has reached out to us to let us know that The Khetanna (Jabba's luxury barge of choice) will be available in 13 countries/territories outside of the US and Canada on March 28th! It will be sold via Hasbro Pulse's new eBay page for $499.99 US with free shipping. As promised, Hasbro’s Star Wars The Vintage Collection Jabba’s Sail Barge will be available beyond the US & Canada, in Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, and the UK. Washington State Toy Show

This weekend one of the best toy shows in the Pacific Northwest returns! The Washington State Toy Show, previously the Pierce County Toy and Geek Fest, will be taking place this Saturday, March 23rd, in Puyallup, Washington. The last time this show was held, we made three trips to the car with bags full of vintage and modern figures and collectibles. This time, the show has expanded to over 140 sold out tables and with many Washington State Summer Con vendors attending, it is sure to outdo the last show. Hasbro’s ESB Fan Vote Numbers

Yesterday, Hasbro Pulse on their Instagram page released the percentage breakdown for their recent 40th Anniversary Fan Vote for The Empire Strikes Back. The vote, which was initially hosted here and at other fan sites, came down to Luke and Wedge on the final vote and as we can now see the winner just barely edged ahead. ECCC Star Wars Rebels Panel with Hera & Obi-Wan

On Friday at Emerald City Comic Con, James Arnold Taylor and Vanessa Marshall entertained fans with stories and voices during their mainstage panel "Star Wars Rebels". The voice actors shared stories from their work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Marshall who plays Rebel Hera Syndulla in Rebels and Star Wars: Forces of Destiny and Taylor, who has now played Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for eighteen years, in Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, recounted stories from their work history on numerous show and films and took questions from the audience. Luke Skywalker (Dagobah) Wins Hasbro Pulse Poll

Hasbro has reached out to us to let us know the winner of their Instagram Black Series Fan Vote: We are thrilled to announce the results of the Star Wars: The Black Series 6-Inch figure Fan Vote, in celebration of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary. The winner is Luke Skywalker (Dagobah)! Despite Wedge and Lobot showing strong numbers in both the fan site vote and at different stages in the final vote, Luke was declared the winner by Hasbro. We have reason to believe Wedge is currently in the works and headed to The Black Series line sooner than later so this will give the Star Wars sculptors something new to work on and release in 12-18 months. The Sail Barge of Our Dreams

It was just over a year ago when Hasbro announced the HasLab initiative and when we couldn't log on fast enough to lend our support (we believe we were just about the 10th backer). For the next 45 days we tracked the daily progress of The Khetanna, knowing full well at first it was not a sure thing but as we predicted (at about the halfway point) the Barge became a reality just before the deadline. Flash forward a year and a month and the toy/playset that sits before us was both worth the wait and worth every single penny. Vintage Toys on The Goldbergs

On last week's episode of The Goldbergs, the Goldberg children were threatened with having some of their favorite toys given away to their cousin Gleb. Among the amazing haul of '80s toys were some vintage Star Wars, He-Man, Transformers, and GI Joe items to name a few.
