On Friday at Emerald City Comic Con, James Arnold Taylor and Vanessa Marshall entertained fans with stories and voices during their mainstage panel “Star Wars Rebels”. The voice actors shared stories from their work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Marshall who plays Rebel Hera Syndulla in Rebels and Star Wars: Forces of Destiny and Taylor, who has now played Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for eighteen years, in Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, recounted stories from their work history on numerous show and films and took questions from the audience. We were front and center for the show, which you can listen to in its entirety right here:

Before the panel, we visited the autograph at ECCC and were very pleased with both the layout and ease it was to visit with and obtain autographs from the numerous celebrity guests. First up for us was Taylor himself. He had no less than five different Kenobi 8x10s available for signing and was happy to chat about podcasting as he has is own show called James Arnold Taylor’s Talking to Myself The Podcast.

Next, we moved to Marshall’s line who had just returned to the autograph hall and was immensely excited about the gift she had received from a fan. In the series Star Wars Rebels, Hera is very protective of her family’s Kalikori (a totem-like heirloom) and Marshall admitted to crying when presented with the handmade prop.

When it came time for a graph, we choose her image with Billy Dee as he’ll be returning to the area this Summer, along with lots of fellow Star Wars alums, to appear at Washington State Summer Con!

And finally, with having missed Captian Phasma (Gwendolyn Christie) by just a few hours, we sought out The Grand Inquisitor himself Jason Isaacs (aka Lucius Malfoy & Captain Gabriel Lorca). Isaacs was incredibly fascinating to chat with as he stated he had never seen an episode of Star Wars Rebels, the show in which he played the main heavy throughout the whole first season. Isaacs stated that the fun is in the making of the production and only if there is a premiere screening he’ll see his films. “I’m not vain enough to seek out my own work”, he stated when then comparing his choice to a chef which doesn’t eat their own food.
