The Imperial Troop Transport(er)/Cruiser

Thanks to StarWars-Figuren.com we now have the first boxed images of the new Imperial Troop Transport.  As long time collectors and fans will know, this marks the third version of this vehicle to appear as a Star Wars action figure vehicle. The first arrived in Kenner's 1978 Star Wars line as the "Imperial Troop Transporter".  The second was only a few years later as the "Imperial Cruiser" in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back Line. The first two versions share the same mold with some electronic and color changes but the newest version which made its television debut on the Star Wars Rebels episode "Fighter Flight" is a brand new sculpt which has been modified from Kenner's original design. This was announced to be released in January 2015. Until [...]

Happy Life Day!

It's that time of year again where we gather with our friends and family to celebrate the promise of the Tree of Life. Happy Life Day everyone from your friends at From4-LOMtoZuckuss.com! For the last 36 years fans have had the privilege of celebrating the traditions first seen on the Star Wars Holiday Special.  We here are huge fans of the admittedly awful variety show and always look forward to sitting down each November 17th for our annual viewing. Now we are not alone in our love for this vintage program, as it should be no surprise based on the logo, but the cast of the Galaxy of Toys Podcast are such big fans that they last year produced one of best tributes to the Holiday Special found [...]

Question of the Day: Cardbacks or Cash

Would you love it or hate it if Hasbro mimicked the Kenner promo of cutting up your action figure cardbacks for cash? Would this promotion actually get some collectors to buy additional figures today? At what refund price would opening and cutting out the cardback become worth it? What promos would you like to see Hasbro run with its Episode VII or future The Black Series lines? We'd love to know what you think! You can contact us by email at 4LOMKUSS@gmail.com or on our official Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Hobby Hall’s Star Wars Collections

Each year the Washington State Fair (known as the Puyallup Fair to locals) plays host to the collections of a handful of collectors.  From everything from bottle caps to Batmobiles, PEZ dispensers to playing cards; if someone has ever collected it, there’s a good chance it’s been featured at the Washington State Fair.  The Hobby Hall is where collectors of all ages have their collectibles staged for the two and half-week run of the fair. Collections are selected by a committee and vary by size.  This year, fans of vintage and modern toys had many displays to fawn over but the coolest (and yes we are very biased here at From 4-LOM to Zuckuss) was the vintage Ewok collection. This fantastic collection of Ewok paraphernalia [...]

I.C.E. Seattle’s First Anniversary

One year ago today in Seattle, Washington, started one of the most impressive Star Wars collector events to ever take place.  I.C.E. (International Collector's Event) Seattle was put on by Seattle's (and the country's) oldest Star Wars collecting club, SARLACC.  The Seattle ARea Lucasfilm Collectors Club was founded by Gus Lopez and other Seattle collectors in 1994 and boasts an active and thriving membership still today and on Labor Day weekend 2013 they put on an exclusive 5-day "convention" for a handful of lucky collectors from around the world. Among the many highlights of the event was the release of The I.C.E. Star. Obliviously taking after the vintage international cardboard version of the Death Star Playset, this star features the collections of many of the collectors who live [...]
