Hasbro’s Star Wars Timeline

Yesterday MTV.com published a timeline of Hasbro's Star Wars action figures. The timeline is geared more for educating new viewer on where in the Star Wars Saga the new animated series Star Wars Rebels takes place.  The image is very cool but is not a true timeline of the actual figures as it only uses figures from past couple of years (specifically The Black Series, Movie Heroes and Saga Legends lines). As stated by our good friend Criz Bee of Jedibusiness.com, one glaring oversight with the timeline is the lack of any reference to the 6 Season run of The Clone Wars. NYCC ’14 Press Release & Photos

When if comes to New York Comic Con, Hasbro may not have the presence they do at Toy Fair, San Diego Comic Con or Celebration but they do put on mean a pre-convention media reveal party.  This year's "'Twas the Night Before the Party" offered some great reveals for the upcoming The Black Series and Saga Legends lines. The Black Series – Checklists and Pocket Guides

Rebels and Hasbro debuts now on The Collector’s Calendar

With today's announcement that the one-hour Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion movie will be released on multiple formats over a handful of dates at the beginning of October we have performed a major update on The Collector's Calendar. Updates include Hasbro figure release schedules from San Diego Comic-Con, all Star Wars Rebels shorts and premiere dates, Del Rey's novel (canon) and Marvel Comic's comic book (canon) release schedules. New Toys, Videos & Displays but no Figures

Targets across the country have completed their "fall resets" (where they rearrange their aisles to make room for new merch and toy lines) and in the process vastly improved the Star Wars presence in their toy aisles. By adding large and impressive signage and new Star Wars Rebels, 6" The Black Series, Jaxx's 20" figures and Star Wars Command products they are geared up for bringing Star Wars to many a Christmas tree this winter.  But with this increased presence, not a new 3 3/4" figure is to be found. From 4-LOM to Zuckuss  had the chance to sit down with the Hasbro Star Wars Brand Team for a brief Q & A session at San Diego Comic-Con.  Ryan Beise, also of Galaxy of Toys  and Star Wars: Collecting Cosmos  podcasts, chatted with Bill Rawley and Jeff Labovitz about what we can and cannot look forward to from Hasbro in the next year and sadly Episode VII  was not up for discussion. SDCC ’14 – The Calm Before the Storm

Despite the tons of information, both official and unofficial, that has dropped this week we are currently nowhere near the eye of the storm that will be released beginning on July 24th when San Diego Comic-Con kicks-off!  This week SDCC released their program schedule and Starwars.com provided a breakdown of all the Star Wars goodness in store for attendees. Of highest priority for us will be Hasbro's Star Wars panel. New TRU Exclusives – A Potentially Pricey Lot!

Good gravy! It looks like we will be dropping some serious money at Toys R Us in the future. Rebelscum has information on potential exclusives coming to Toys R Us. Now contrary to the US amounts listed in the article - its our belief that the prices listed in pounds will actually be the US prices. $100 for Battle on Endor set seems reasonable considering the cost for a single figure is up to $10 and we are getting 8 of them plus a what was once a $20-$30 vehicle. The Cantina Showdown could simply be 3-4 figures with a bar piece for $40 (fingers crossed for the middle "dispenser" piece).
