Pre-New York Toy Fair Reveals

Yesterday Starwars.com revealed a new character which will be making his debut in Star Wars Rebels in both the animated show and its action figure line. http://youtu.be/ulIPyDqppfM Although this video was provided to Germany's Moviepilot.de website a day before it was released in the US, the photo of the C1-1OP "Chopper" was an exclusive to the Starwars.com release. For those expecting reveals about upcoming Hasbro products this last week from the UK Toy Fair held in London, were sadly disappointed as practically nothing was officially announced. James Burns of Jedinews.co.uk did provide an update via the official Star Wars website: Hasbro — The future of the Black Series, both 3¾” and 6” lines, looks great and there will be a number of new figures coming in [...]

Dave Filoni The New Toy Hunter!?!

On the June 21st episode of RebelForce Radio, host and mega fan Jimmy Mac sat down with supervising director of both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the in-production Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni.  During the interview Mac, being a Star Wars action figure aficionado, asked Filoni to elaborate on his brief video discussion with Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hildalgo about a certain vintage action figure vehicle.  The video was a behind the scenes look at the development of Rebels and in the video Filoni is seen holding a vintage TIE Fighter and saying to Hildalgo, “ten dollars”.  The Emmy winning director revealed to RFR that he had purchased the vehicle still in the box with its sticker sheets from an antique store for $10.  Not only [...]
