Little Golden Book’s Kenner Cameo

Last year Random House Kids began releasing all-new Little Golden Books based on the Star Wars universe. The first wave of books featured movie adaptations of the saga. Following the release of The Force Awakens, a seventh adaptation was released. The next and newest wave centers around a series of "I Am a ______" books. In the book entitled Star Wars: I Am A Droid, written by Christopher Nicholas and illustrated by Chris Kennett, a familiar dark blue square droid appears. Kenner's Power Droid from their original 21 line can be found on the third to last page making this the most recent Kenner cameo to date. Galaxy of Toys on Toy Fair 2016

The guys over at Galaxy of Toys Podcast are back from Mid-Winter break with a discussion about Toy Fair 2016. Episode 54 focuses on what Hasbro revealed and had on display at the annual toy show. Also released this week was a new episode of Star Wars: Collecting Cosmos. The topic for the show based around collecting Star Wars miscelania is collectibles from The Force Awakens. And finally, this week The Star Wars Collectors Archive put out an article entitled "Intergalactic Talking Heads: A Vintage Collector's Review of Star Wars Collecting Podcasts" in which Galaxy of Toys was included. Toy Fair 2016 Coverage

It's Toy Fair time and the annual mid-winter toy showcase of what's to come began this morning in New York City. As we've done in year's past we'll post all Star Wars action figure news and updates throughout the weekend and show. Now leading up to this year's Toy Fair a few reveals were made via a few other media outlets.  A Star Wars Rebels version of Princess Leia was announced on usatoday.com in January. This figure will be apart of the current Build-a-Weapon line and according to USA Today will be available this fall. Welcome 12″ Figures to the Site

We are happy to announce the addition of the modern line of 12" action figures to the site! We're working on adding the vintage and early Hasbro Collector Series lines as well to the site as well as the 6" lines (yes we said lines). We are even attempting to collect more information about the 2" line of figures from Episode I which we so highly covet. But to get us started on our non-3 3/4" figure coverage, we are starting with the understandably least popular line of 12" action figures (even though we dig them) the Hero Series assortment. Huge Droid Factory Build-a-Droid Guide Update

More Kenner in Star Wars Rebels

Now that The Force Awakens hype has begun to simmer down just a bit after a month of destroying all-time movie records Lucasfilm has begun shifting their focus by releasing the trailer for the second half of Star Wars Rebels Season 2. And with this action-packed trailer comes a bunch of guest-stars from the Star Wars universe.  Joining Ahsoka and Rex, this season will feature characters from The Clone Wars such as Hera's father Cham Syndulla as well as a few Jedi Temple Guards (with one having a very Snoke-ish tone) followed by a Matt Lanter-voiced Anakin Skywalker via a Holocron. Merry Christmas ’83

Christmas 1983 was a very memorable one! That Christmas was not only full of loads of Star Wars gifts from Santa and my folks but it was the year I received one of my most played with toys ever. The Millennium Falcon finally landed at my house courtesy of the big fat man in the red suit. This toy would smuggle countless figures in its secret cargo hold, blast Imperials out of the sky with its gunner turret and enter into Hyperspace on a daily basis for years to come. The collecting bug had bit years before, but Return of the Jedi was when it really took off.
