Star Wars In the Last 7…

In the last seven days... ~ Star Wars, the film that revolutionized science fiction, Hollywood, marketing, and the toy world turned 37 years old. And the great thing about being a Star Wars collector is that due to the enormous about of merchandise produced over the last 30 and a half decades we are always learning new things such as... ~ For the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves toy line the Battle Wagon was not only a reissue of the Ewok BattleWagon Vehicle but also included the Ewok Assault Catapult Accessory which was attached to the top of the wagon in place of the Bantha Skull.  This has now been updated in our Sister Lines database. ~ Lucasfilm officially announced the director, writer and release date of [...]

Republic Trooper joining The Black Series?

The toy e-tailer Dorksidetoys appears to be expecting a couple of figures in The Black Series which have yet to be officially announced by Hasbro.  The AT-RT Driver, which was last released as the 46th figure in The Vintage Collection, is slated to be re-released in Wave 5 of the collector focused The Black Series.  Allegedly joining this figure will be the highly desired Republic Trooper.  Not only is this recycled figure from The Vintage Collection as well but it will be the first time this figure will be available in brick and mortar stores as it was originally an online retail exclusive. Now its interesting to note that Dorksidetoys offers these figures up for pre-sell as part of Wave 5 along with: #26  Darth [...]

When Seattle, Star Wars & Comicon Collide

Just over two weeks ago From 4-LOM to Zuckuss attended and presented at Seattle's Emerald City Comicon. Despite the con not having a huge Star Wars focus there was plenty of ways for fans to indulge in the Force.  Prior to the convention we released our "Star Wars Guide to Emerald City Comicon" which detailed many of the Star Wars related panels and activities available at the con but even despite our research there were even more Star Wars fun to be had.  The following is just some of the fun we had at the con. The Exhibitor Hall Like many cons the exhibitor sales floor contained a wide range of vintage and modern, under and over-priced and well loved to minty mint action figures. [...]

Never Tell Me the Odds – The Black Series

The nice thing about the lull which typically takes place after the busy holiday season, is that it gives collectors time to take pause and review what was released the previous year and time to save for the coming one.  With this week's reveal of carded images of Wave 4 (Wave 1 of 2014) from The Black Series we thought we would once again take note of what this collector focused series has brought us so far.  The following provides first a list of the all 25 figures which have been released or pictured carded so far.  There are 8 addition figures we know of which are coming but have yet to be numbered or carded and so are not included in this list.  If [...]

Pre-New York Toy Fair Reveals

Yesterday Starwars.com revealed a new character which will be making his debut in Star Wars Rebels in both the animated show and its action figure line. http://youtu.be/ulIPyDqppfM Although this video was provided to Germany's Moviepilot.de website a day before it was released in the US, the photo of the C1-1OP "Chopper" was an exclusive to the Starwars.com release. For those expecting reveals about upcoming Hasbro products this last week from the UK Toy Fair held in London, were sadly disappointed as practically nothing was officially announced. James Burns of Jedinews.co.uk did provide an update via the official Star Wars website: Hasbro — The future of the Black Series, both 3¾” and 6” lines, looks great and there will be a number of new figures coming in [...]

Hope for Carded Collectors of The Black Series

For many carded collectors the first wave of The Black Series has become quite a challenge. The internet has not been shy about sharing the fact that these figures have been literally falling off the pegs.  Pictures of department store self-fixes have ranged from tape and staples to yes even shrink wrap.  This is a problem of the bubbles containing the figures not adhering permanently enough to survive a few days of manhandling on the pegs.  Whether it’s the incorrect heat-sealing of this wave or the lack of enough glue which is causing them to not adhere to the black-printed cardback, Hasbro has acknowledged the issue and has assured collectors that Wave 2 will not see more of the same. But where does that leave [...]
