Unboxing Toy Convention 2018 Coverage

This weekend in Mexico City, Mexico, the Unboxing Toy Convention is taking place and Hasbro, as promised, is there with both special guests, a booth, a panel and exclusive reveals! A big thanks to TOY RUN listener and international correspondent Rafael Pineda for the images and information for the show! Kenner designer Tim Effler held a panel prior to Hasbro's. Hasbro's panel images! Hasbro's panel began with the show exclusives (which were the same as SDCC). Then they gave a recap of their SDCC reveals from a few weeks ago. Next Hasbro gave a behind the scenes look at the how they create a Black Series figure from concept to final product. Space Wars Headhammer Review

At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Super 7 who has not only based their line look and action figure designs off of Kenner, released yet another tribute piece and this time it is a pretty deep cut. The Alien - "Space Wars Headhammer" Tribute Xenomorph 3.75" ReAction Figure with coin which retailed for $15 at the convention is a clear nod to the "original" alien Hammerhead from Kenner's 1978 Star Wars line. Now how this repaint of the ReAction Alien figure even makes any sense is because when Kenner was designing the prototype Alien figure back in 1979, they used Hammerhead as the base of their initial sculpt. Force Link 2.0 App – What’s New/Missing?

With Hasbro's latest update (Version 2.1) of their Force Link 2.0 App, we are given a glance of quite a few figures which have either not been yet released or have yet to even be officially announced. SDCC Coverage 2018

It is that time again for the super convention San Diego Comic-Con to take place. As always with the four-day con, it begins with Preview Night on proceeding Wednesday where companies like Hasbro offer a preview of some of the items they will be showcasing at the convention. Thursday will then feature the Hasbro Preview Breakfast for members of the press and then Friday will host Hasbro’s Star Wars Brand Panel at 1pm-2pm PST.
