The plans for Rogue One merchandising have apparently been activated as today we have received a landslide of news pertaining to what toys will be available on September 30th!
EW.com revealed a collection of Jyn Erso action figures from multiple toy lines that will be debuting next month. This appears to be not only a great way to show off the main character but also to make amends for the #wheresrey controversy from earlier this year. Figures shown include Jakks Pacific 20″, Hasbro 12″, Hasbro 3 3/4″, Lego, Funko Pop, Disney Elite, Disney figurine, and Hasbro 6″.
USAToday.com also a sneak peek of a handful of toys from Rogue One that included not only Hasbro but Jakks, Mattel, Disney and Lego toys as well.
And rounding out this trifecta of reveals is by far one of the greatest examples of action figure and toy line unity ever seen! Starwars.com’s amazing “Go Rogue: Chapter 1″ finds Jyn’s 6″ Black Series figure on a mission to obtain the Lego Death Star plans while fighting off 3 3/4” Stormtroopers and a Funko Pop Director Krennick! The stop-motion short is unlike anything Hasbro’s Star Wars line has been a part of in the past and we welcome this fantastic production. So many questions arise in regards to plot connections to the real film, the score and how such a collaboration among competitors was engineered!

UPDATE #2: Starwars.com is also running a contest for fans to create and share a video of their own Rogue One story and as this contest begins on the day the Rogue One toys are released you will most likely be expected to us official merchandise. The winner will receive a trip to Lucasfilm for a personal screening of Rogue One! All entries must be submitted by October 21st. See Starwars.com for more details!
