The Future of 3 3/4″ Figures?

Anyone who follows us on social media or has heard Jake Stevens on any of his podcast appearances of late knows we have great concern about the future of the 3 ¾” line. With no confirmation of a The Rise of Skywalker line from Hasbro, early leaks of a new 5” Galaxy of Adventures line based on Episode IV, poor sales of non-Vintage Collection toys and the continued popularity of the 6” Black Series line, we are confident our pessimism is not unfounded. So where exactly does this leave us and those like lifelong 3 ¾” collector Jake? If you ask Mr. Stevens, he will tell you he feels like he has been dumped after 41 years. Like an unwanted break-up that has long been seen coming [...]

Yesterday, our order from finally shipped to store and we were able to get our hands on a few Retro Collection Darth Vader (Prototype Edition) figures. This figure debuted at San Diego Comic-Con and was sold exclusively at the Entertainment Earth booth despite being a Target exclusive figure. had them in stock very briefly at the end of the August and just this week some brick-and-mortar stores in the country received some cases. Nevertheless, the figure has not shown up in great quantities much like the rest of the Retro Collection itself. Now so far today, there have been 18 different versions of the Prototype Vader due to its different color parts. If one was going by the color of the head, [...]

Final Chance to Back The Vintage Collection Archive Edition Book

We are just over a day away from the ending of the Kickstarter initiative to fund Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Archive Edition Book. The campaign has been wildly successful as it has in the last 44 days, not only funded but met nine out of ten stretch goals. Currently, backers will not only get a book chock-full of additional content due to the stretch goals being met but they will also receive a folio set of the chapter break images, a three coin set, and an updated version of Kenner's Star Wars is Forever poster (shown below) created by the original photographer Kim Simmons. The Sail Barge of Our Dreams

It was just over a year ago when Hasbro announced the HasLab initiative and when we couldn't log on fast enough to lend our support (we believe we were just about the 10th backer). For the next 45 days we tracked the daily progress of The Khetanna, knowing full well at first it was not a sure thing but as we predicted (at about the halfway point) the Barge became a reality just before the deadline. Flash forward a year and a month and the toy/playset that sits before us was both worth the wait and worth every single penny. Upon our Monday delivery of the barge, Sprocket the Minature Schnauzer quickly claimed it for himself. As much as he thought he we would make the perfect [...]
