We are excited to take part in this week’s Bring Home the Galaxy product campaign with the reveal of the latest Vintage Collection playset: Endor Bunker.
STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION ENDOR BUNKER
(HASBRO/Ages 4 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $59.99 / Available: Spring 2023)
Fans can celebrate the legacy of STAR WARS, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away, and commemorate the 40th Anniversary of STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI with this premium 3.75-inch scale STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION ENDOR BUNKER PLAYSET & ACTION FIGURE. This Endor Bunker playset and Endor Rebel Commando (Scout Trooper Disguise) action figure are inspired by the iconic setting in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Located at an Imperial outpost on Endor’s forest moon, the Endor Bunker housed the shield generator for the Empire’s second Death Star. To breach its walls, the Rebels devised a plan. The figure features premium detail and design across product and packaging inspired by the original Kenner line, as well as the entertainment-inspired collector grade deco. Includes playset, figure and instructions. Available for pre-order 12/7 at 1pm ET at Hasbro Pulse and other major retailers. Visit starwars.com for more Bring Home the Galaxy product reveals!
In honor of the 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi, this set is the first time Hasbro has revisited this scene since the 1997 The Power of the Force 2 Endor Attack.
In addition to being larger than the original, this version includes forest debris for a more realistic and screen accurate depiction.
Like each of the playsets released in the past few years, Hasbro continues the tradition of including an exclusive carded figure. The figure included this time around will be a welcome addition for Return of the Jedi fans and perhaps Clone Wars fans as well. While named “Endor Rebel Commando (Scout Trooper Disguise)”, this character has in recently been identified as Captain Rex. This has been been shown in a Little Golden Book and in a Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures animated short.
Regardless if you believe this Commando to be Nik Sant, Old Man Rex or an unnamed Rebel, this is the first time we are seeing this character in plastic since 2008’s The Legacy Collection multipack, “Shield Generator Assault”.
This set will go up for pre-order, tomorrow, December 7th and figures crossed there will be more playsets from Endor to follow in 2023!
Until then,
May the Figures be with you!
