New Rebels Figures Coming!

USA Today  gives us our first official look at new Star Wars action figures since last October.  Ahoska Tano and Darth Vader aka the padawan and her Jedi Master will be coming to the Saga Legends line later this year. Now we know from the Rebels Recon for the season finale that her lightsabers shown here in inaccurate and will indeed be white to represent her non-allegencence to the Jedi nor Sith. These figures look great and we are excited to hopefully see more figures produced from Season 1! Check out Rebels Recon for more info about Season 1 and a peak at art form Season 2:

Rebels Season 1 – It’s a Wrap!

[UPDATE] - New Rebels figures were revealed via USAToday. Last night’s episode of Star Wars Rebels brought not only another familiar character into the series but the close of Season 1. WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD! Episode 13 “Fire Across the Galaxy” confirmed what many had speculated and leaked for the last few months, Fulcrum’s true identity to be Ahsoka Tano. The much loved ex-Padawan of Anakin Skywalker hasn’t been seen since the finale of the Season 5 of The Clone Wars.  The freshman season saw a total of 11 major characters from the cinematic side of the galaxy far, far away. Kenner Cameos: The Clone Wars Season 5

Welcome to another installment of Kenner Cameos! Here it is our goal to provide a guide for every time a Kenner (and Hasbro) concept or design has been showcased, outside of the action figure line, in Star Wars collectibles, publishing, animation and so on. This week we take a look at The Clone Wars animated series which ran from 2008-2014. This series, despite its 100+ episodes, did not lean heavily on the use of Kenner nor Hasbro designs much like Lucasfilm's current series Star Wars Rebels does. We are pleased to present our newest feature: The Kenner Cameo Chronology! The goal of this newest feature is to provide a guide for every time a Kenner (and Hasbro) concept or design has been showcased, outside of the action figure line, in Star Wars collectibles, publishing, animation and so on. The reason for this guide is simple, over the last almost four decades Star Wars action figures have become a popular nostalgic touchstone for many designers, sculptors, artists and directors and here is where we want pay tribute to their work. Now this timeline is purposely and by no means complete as we are planning to add a new cameo each week throughout 2015. Vizago’s Vanishing Gun

It appears that Hasbro is pulling a few new tricks out of their bag. In the newest wave of Mission Series packs from the Rebels Saga Legends line Hasbro has created a holster which can fit a sidearm much bigger than the acutal holster. Here you can see Cikatro Vizago's blaster next to his holster. The blaster is clearly longer but once you place the pistol in the holster you can see that it fits completely into the holster. Hasbro's new design allows the weapon to go inside the figures leg thus keeping the accurate dimensions of the character's accessories as seen in the computer animated series. Galaxy of Toys: UK Toy Fair 2015

Galaxy of Toys Podcast sits down with Adam from Das Weally Cool and his experience of attending the UK Toy Fair held a few weeks ago. Now going into to Toy Fair season, Hasbro has been forthcoming about the fact that they wouldnt be revealing Episode VII toys and Adam can attest to that. RIP Nien Nunb AKA Richard Bonehill

This week Richard Bonehill one of the actors who portrayed Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi passed away.  Bonehill literally wore many hats during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back and Jedi. In addition to Lando's co-pilot, he portrayed multiple soldiers on both sides of the war. To see a complete listing of his characters, check out Bonehill's website.
