Hasbro Cardbacks – 10 Styles and Counting

    As new product has finally begun to reach store shelves, collectors are seeing two new styles of Star Wars action figure cardbacks.  In celebration of the release of The Black Series and Saga Legends series, From 4-LOM to Zuckuss is taking you on a brief look back at the different cardback styles of yesterday and today. 1)      “Classic” Style The “classic” style of cardback (established in 1978) set the standard for Star Wars action figure cardbacks with its rectangle 9” x 6” shape.  This is the only style of cardback that does not feature a J-hook type hanger but instead an isolated peg hole.  This is the most widely used and most popular style of cardback. SDCC ’13 In-Depth Hasbro Review

San Diego Comic-Con 2013 has now come to a close and we here at From 4-LOM to Zuckuss are taking a look at what we learned.  Hasbro’s Star Wars panel this year consisted of equal parts revelations and confirmations.  And as expected due the close scheduling of Celebration Europe 2 left some questions unanswered.  Friday’s hour long panel began with the first thirty minutes devoted to Angry Birds merchandise leaving only about 25 minutes for the multiple action figure lines.  Confirmations In the weeks leading up to SDCC multiple items were previewed/revealed by various sites online such as Flyguy.net and Starwarsfiguren.com.  Most of these items were confirmed by Hasbro in their presentation.  The following items were officially announced: X-Wing Fighter This The Vintage Collection vehicle [...]

Slave 1 – A Paint Job You’ll Pay 210% More For!

This week Amazon has put up for pre-sell two highly anticipated vehicles from The Vintage Collection; TIE Interceptor Vehicle and Slave 1 Boba Fett's Spaceship.  This marks Amazon's first foray into selling exclusive Star Wars Hasbro action figure toys.  Now after seeing the price tags attached to these sets, it lead us to wonder if the retail internet giant needs to seek advice from someone at Target or Toys 'R' Us in relation to their pricing schemes.  To make our point we have compared the price breakdown of The Rise of Boba Fett Slave 1 from a few years ago with its newest repaint incarnation in form of Amazon's The Vintage Collection Slave 1.   2010 - The Clone Wars: The Rise of Boba Fett Ultimate Battle Packs $110 pricetag -$8 [...]

TIEs Intercept at International Toy Show

The upcoming The Vintage Collection TIE Interceptor was among the handful of items featured at Hasbro's booth at the International Tokyo Toy Show.  On display was the international exclusive waves of the Movie Hero and The Clone Wars figures, some upcoming ROTS 3-D packaged vehicles, The Vintage Collection's Slave 1 and the first wave of The Black Series. When Rebels Marry!

 Who is the luckiest groom in the world?  The answer is easy after seeing this photo from the wedding of Leslie Seiler and Paul Kingston.  This Toronto couple's wedding party was photographed being pursued by a trio of the newly released The Vintage Collection Endor AT-ATs!  Congrats to the newlyweds and lets hope these Jedi have Force Speed!
