New York Toy Fair Coverage ’18

Despite New York Toy Fair 2018 running from February 17-20, the reveals began days earlier online.  With Solo: A Star Wars Story set to drop on May 25th, 2018, Lucasfilm has gone back to showing their products at the International Toy Fair in February. Here is where we will provide all the news and reveals from this year's show. Wednesday, February 14th (Valentine's Day) Entertainment Weekly debuted the first look of the 3 3/4" Kessel Run Millennium Falcon. i09's Gizmodo previewed four new figures from the 6" Black Series line. First Looks: New Solo Toys

Today various media outlets across the web debuted the first official looks at some of the toy that will accompany this May's release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. We expect to get better looks at these figures and more this weekend during New York's Toy Fair 2018. Entertainment Weekly The Millennium Falcon No Han Solo movie toy line could exist without his trusty steed and Hasbro brings us yet another new version to collect. Now this version was a no-brainier after the official trailer and posters dropped last week. The avalanche began with the 45 second (and $7.5 million) Solo: A Star Wars Story teaser. This was followed up the next day with a longer teaser trailer on Good Morning America. These teasers were as accompanied by a set of four character posters. Now as awesome as Solo is gearing up to be, the week didn't end there. On Tuesday, The Star Wars Show dropped a special episode announcing that Game of Thrones producers /writers David Benioff & DB Weiss will be making a new series of Star Wars films. Solo’s Super Bowl Teaser

Lucasfilm finally broke their moratorium on the promotion of Solo: A Star Wars Story. The 45-second teaser, which aired during the second commercial break in the US, presumably costs Disney $7.5 million dollars as Sports Illustrated has reported that NBC Sports charged $5 million per 30-second spots during Super Bowl LII. This teaser is exciting and nostalgic and we are now counting the hours until the full trailer debuts tomorrow during Good Morning America. This seems to be the weekend for Solo as a handful of leaked images appeared online this morning from the final day of the Nuremberg Toy Fair.
