Fan First Friday 2020 Press Release and Images

Happy May the 4th Eve! This weekend has started with a bang with Hasbro's Fan First Friday Livestream Event which resulted in quite a few Black Series reveals and a Vintage Collection reveal as well. Most of the figures announced went up for pre-sale on Friday but a few associated with Hasbro were delayed until Saturday where Hasbro Pulse hosted the initial offering for Amazon. Black Series Archive Collection Fan Vote

We are excited to announce our participation in the next Hasbro Fan Vote. Starting today and continuing through next week we will be running a poll for collectors and fans to cast their vote on who the next Black Series figure they would like to see join Archive Collection.  The rules of the fan vote as supplied to us by Hasbro as follows: Fans can vote on any character that has been featured in the Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series Line to be made as a refresh with photoreal deco (if applicable) and put into our Black Series Archive line. The Complete Black Series Action Figure Checklist

In 2013, Hasbro made the decision to create a collector focused scale of super-articulated 6" figures. This Black Series line of figures became very popular with collectors who were used to super-detailed and highly posable figures from The Vintage Collection 3 3/4" line. This line which has grown exponentially with each year was not the first time Hasbro attempted a 6" line. During the Power of the Jedi line, which followed the highly overproduced Episode I line of figures, Hasbro debuted the extremely short-lived "Mega" action figure line. Star Wars Battle Bobblers Are Here!

On a grocery/toy run today in hopes of finding the new PhotoReal Vintage Collection and/or The Empire Strikes Back Retro Collection waves, I stumbled upon an unexpected discovery, Star Wars Battle Bobblers. Now after having been teased with them last year during New York Comic Con, there has been no noise about them since then beyond a cameo at New York Toy Fair this past February. Target had what appeared to be two of each of the three sets which were present on the shelf. There was no sign of a Vader/Luke set which is featured on the back of the packaging.
