Upcoming 40th Anniversary Product Details

According to a Spanish Hasbro Catalog, we now have some additional details about some of the upcoming product for the 40th Anniversary and Rogue One Blu-Ray release. A new set to accompany the DVD/BluRay release will include three characters, with one being an exclusive to the set, from a crucial scene from the film. We now have confirmation that the rumored Die-Cast line of figures will be coming and will be in 3 3/4" scale and include both articulation and a two-sided diorama. And finally, The Black Series 6" line will celebrate the 40th Anniversary with an Early Bird line of figures that will include stands and backgrounds. Mads Debuts Galen!

Hasbro has provided us with the first loose look of the upcoming Galen Erso action figure. This figure comes included with a blaster and a mouse (MSE-6) droid and depicts the Death Star scientist in his imperial uniform seen in the movie on Eadu. While the MSE droid is a reissue, it has not been seen in the modern line since The Vintage Collection's 2012 Tarkin release. This figure made its actual debut on Instagram as the actor himself, Mads Mikkelsen, posted the first carded look of his figure. More TV Figure Appearances Found

Thanks to the many collectors and fans who share their findings on social media we are able to add three more Kenner and Hasbro Star Wars action figure appearances to our Lights! Camera! Action (Figures)! filmography! On a very special Christmas episode of Cagney and Lacey in 1982 "I'll Be Home For Christmas", the detectives hit the stores only to pass by some beautiful packed-on-the-pegs Empire Strikes Back figures. Director Thrawn – The Grand Admiral Variant

With the latest wave of Rogue One 3 3/4" figures hitting online etailers, there is now a new variant in the wild for those so inclined to pursue.  It appears the good Grand Admiral has the same ambition as Director Krennic as he can be found with two different ranks. Our TOY RUN co-host over at Jedibusiness.com received the correctly ranked Grand Admiral where we received a version mimicking the doomed director of the Death Star project. We are assuming the correct version as seen on Star Wars Rebels is the second version, produced after our own which bears the date stamp of Friday, October 28th, 2016. 12″ Rogue One Figure Guide Update

We have completed our update of what we can tell is the internet's only modern Hasbro 12” Star Wars Action Figure Checklist and Visual Guide. While this line is not extremely popular with collectors, it continues to produce new figures and product.  For this update, in addition to adding the entire Rogue One series, we have also updated a few Rebels deluxe images and added the last three The Force Awakens figures which were released earlier this year.
