Mystery of the Value Figs

Since the release of The Force Awakens, Hasbro has quietly released a small series of 6" value figures in primarily international and discount store markets. These figures which we have profiled in the past, include around 4POA (points of articulation) and can be found between $6-8 each. These figures often do not receive much publicity and tend to be quietly released. Each movie released following TFA received a wave of figures and in some cases a few under scaled vehicles as well up through The Last Jedi...or so we thought. Recently new images have surfaced to show that a wave for Solo was indeed produced and more recently a new wave featuring new packaging has appeared as well. Thanks to Jayson over at Yakface.com we [...]

Solo’s 12″ Captain Phasma, She’s Real!

After being teased for months on the 12" reissues of Wal*Mart's exclusive R2-D2 and BB-8 in SOLO packaging, we now have confirmation of Captain Phasma's existence. Thanks to  collector and all around great guy Paul Van Dyk, this 12" reissue (from The Force Awakens line) has been found in Canada. We expect that just like the two Astromech droids before her, this figure will eventually trickle down into the states in the following months. Clad in distinctive metallic armor, Captain Phasma commands the First Order's legions of troopers. Having survived the destruction of Starkiller Base, she has a personal score to settle with the Resistance. Now for those collecting this line, this figure is no different from her previous release (despite what the new description on the back of the [...]

Solo Toys Featured on The Simpsons

A big thanks to @ThatAndrewWard for the heads-up about this appearance of Star Wars toys on The Simpsons! This appeared on Season 30's thirteenth episode "I'm Dancing as Fat as I Can" which debuted on February 10th. Homer tries to make amends for binging his and Marge's favorite show without her; Bart prepares for "Krusty's Holiday Trample". Now this is not the first time Star Wars toys have appeared in the long-running series. In Season 6, Ralph displayed his figures in "Lisa's Rival" in 1994. And in Season 13, The Comic Book Guy's bedroom was filled with Kenner figures as well.   With 30 seasons of animation, there are more than likely more appearances and if you are aware of others, please let us know [...]

Birthday Scavenger Hunt – Day 7: The Rec Room & The Final 4 Figures

Welcome to the final entry in my Birthday Scavenger Hunt! Here's your final reminder to make sure to look over the details on how to play and enter to win all of the toys in the prize box by visiting Day 1’s entry. My family's rec room was a place of great joy for my sister and I growing up. The classic faux wood-paneled room hosted parties, holidays and countless hours of play. Here you can see that behind the present opening from my Transformers birthday (seen on Day 5) the room also acted as an on display toy box. I seem to always prattle on about how much I loved the Micro Collection growing up and here it is on display on the top shelf, a place [...]

Birthday Scavenger Hunt – Day 2: Dagobah & Solo

The second day of my birthday game is upon us. If you are just joining us, make sure to skim off over the rules of play and how to enter Little Jake's Birthday Scavenger Hunt before proceeding. Today's entry takes us all the back to November 1982. Kenner enthusiasts can tell you this image is from '82 and not '81 (when the set was originally released) by the lack of rebate sticker on the front. I played the heck out of my Dagobah playset and my proof of this is that I lost the "sticks" that help Luke stand on his hands which was unlike me as I keep such good care of my toys growing up. I have yet to this day to pick up new ones [...]

How to Finish Hasbro’s Force Link 2.0 SOLO Figure Line!

Now that Solo: A Star Wars Story has been released on Digital Download (which we have already watched twice) we can’t help but to speculate about what Hasbro will offer fans of the film over next 14 months! With some key characters from the film still missing in the 3 ¾” line, Hasbro has time before the Episode IX onslaught of merchandising takes place to really finish out the Force Link 2.0 line completely, which is something they haven’t had a chance to do with the four previous Disney-era films. This is, of course, understandable due to the pace of motion picture content Lucasfilm is currently putting out but with this break in media (pending next month’s Star Wars: Resistance series doesn’t commandeer store shelves) Hasbro [...]

Where are the 12″ Figures!?!

We here at From4-LOMtoZuckuss.com have a guilty pleasure in our collecting habits which is that we love the modern 12" Star Wars figure line! Since the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story in April we have not had the typically 2-3 waves and store exclusives that accompany a film's release. To date, the only 12" figures from Solo to receive wide release include Han, Qi'ra and, an Imperial Patrol Trooper. A Kylo Ren is also included in this wave but it is simply a reissue from The Last Jedi. Now Hasbro has shown at various conventions additional figures but here in the States, these figures have been mostly elusive and/or non-existent. For those looking for these figures, you are in luck as we are here to point you in [...]
