Toy Fair 2017 Coverage

February 18th marks the beginning of the annual event put on the by Toy Industry Association, Inc. in New York City.  Toy Fair provides companies a showcase to debut new products that are set to be released throughout the year while trying to woo retailers into supporting their brands. While Toy Fair is open to the press only, they have produced a number to exclusive products in years past. The Last Jedi Packaging & Force Friday II Reveal

EW.com has released the packaging design for the next episode of the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi.  The packaging features Episode VIII versions of our heroes Rey, Finn and Poe.  This is in contrast to the packaging of both The Force Awakens and Rogue One as they both featured villians. In addition to releasing the design which will be used by all properties producing Episode VIII paraphernalia this fall, Force Friday II was officially confirmed. The released and street date for all The Last Jedi merchandise is set for September 1st, 2017.  This is a month earlier than Rouge Friday last year but lines up with Force Friday 2015 which was held on September 4th. Hasbro Press Release – Black Series Titanium & Centerpeice

Hasbro has provided us with an official press release revealing some of the new items they'll be offering in their 2017 Black Series. Hasbro interestingly will be bringing back their 3 3/4" Titanium Die-Cast Series from 2006. These figures, which commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars, are similar to the original series as they consist of die-casts figures attached to bases.  Not familiar with the Titanium Die-Cast Series? Look for our complete visual guide coming soon!  Another new line announced which sounds familiar is their Centerpiece series.  This line which begins with Luke Skywalker, is very reminiscent of the Unleashed line of figures which debuted in during Attack of the Clones' Saga line.  We look forward to seeing and hearing more from Hasbro about these [...]
