The first week of September ushers in a massive tsunami of new toys and media for Star Wars fans and collectors to get excited about. The following are some of the major highlights from this epic week in the making.
- August 30th: This week began with Sunday’s release of Disney Infinity 3.0 and its Star Wars expansion sets.
- September 1st: Today sees the release of Star Wars Rebels Season 1 on BluRay/DVD.
- September 2nd: Tomorrow begins the Journey to The Force Awakens ahead of #ForceFriday with the release of issue one of Shattered Empire. Also beginning in the evening will be Star Wars YouTube unboxing event that will continue throughout the night and following day.
- September 3rd: The day we have all been waiting for since its mention at Celebration Anaheim; Midnight Madness. Toys ‘R’ Us, Wal*Mart, Meijers, and some Targets will open their doors just after midnight.
- September 4th: The Force will Awaken at 12:01 AM when Hasbro, Mattel, Lego, Jakks Pacific, Funko and many more will officially begin slinging their wares. Look for an exclusive Hasbro poster at Toys ‘R’ Us and exclusive Topps discs at Wal*Mart. Del Rey will also contribute to the madness by releasing their contribution to the Journey to The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Aftermath.
- September 5th: The fun won’t be contained to Friday as on Saturday Target will be celebrating #SharetheForce with in-store events beginning at 11 AM.
- September 6th: Finally on Sunday, we all we be able to relax and enjoy our new purchases.
