Galaxy’s Edge Target Exclusive Hasbro Press Release

UPDATE 7/23/2020 -  Great News! It appears that the frustration seen across the internet from fans, sites and collectors about the issues with Target's Galaxy's Edge (and GI Joe Classified) pre-orders, Hasbro and Target have agreed to open the Smuggler's Run Falcon back up for orders this Friday! We received the update from Hasbro this morning: The Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Galaxy’s Edge Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run Vehicle will be available again for pre-order starting tomorrow, 7/24, at 10AM EST in limited quantities at Target. The Madness is Coming! #ForceFriday Roundup

With #ForceFriday just 8 days away, retailers are starting to up their game in competing for collector's attention and dollars. Here we'll take a look at the major retailers set to celebration the release of The Force Awakens toys at 12:01 AM, September 4th. Toys 'R' Us The original purveyors of Midnight Madness will be holding their 5th midnight opening for Star Wars toys (all three prequels and The Clone Wars film). According to their website they'll be offering an exclusive poster but no word on the content or producer (Hasbro, Jakks, Mattel, LFL, Disney, etc.?) of said poster. New Toys, Videos & Displays but no Figures

Targets across the country have completed their "fall resets" (where they rearrange their aisles to make room for new merch and toy lines) and in the process vastly improved the Star Wars presence in their toy aisles. By adding large and impressive signage and new Star Wars Rebels, 6" The Black Series, Jaxx's 20" figures and Star Wars Command products they are geared up for bringing Star Wars to many a Christmas tree this winter.  But with this increased presence, not a new 3 3/4" figure is to be found. The only figures that appear to be showing up currently is the previously hard to find Mara Jade and Darth Plagueis wave of The Black Series. Now August is said to be the release month [...]
