On April 13th, 2018, the merchandise for Lucasfilm’s second standalone film was released with little fanfare in comparison to previous Disney era films. Considered more of a “soft release”, this time there were no midnight release events nor coordinated advertising campaigns such as #forcefriday or #gorogue that accompanied Episodes VII, VII and Rogue One.

For the main Solo: A Star Wars Story figure line, Hasbro once again released 3 ¾” action figures that feature 5 points of articulation (5POA) and continued the use of Force Link technology which was pioneered with The Last Jedi line.

The Vintage Collection Checklist

At Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017, Hasbro announced the return of their extremely popular 3 ¾” action figure line; The Vintage Collection. The original The Vintage Collection line or TVC ran from 2010 to 2013, released 115 different basic carded figures, and released a massive amount of retailer exclusive multipacks and vehicles. The return of TVC line picks up where its predecessor left off five years ago. Despite the continuation of the figure numbering, this line is referred to as The Vintage Collection 2 to avoid confusion and set it apart from the 2010 line. For a visual guide for The Vintage Collection 2.
