SDCC '14 Coverage

Its that time once again for the granddaddy of all comic conventions; San Diego Comic-Con. Here is where we’ll keep you up to date with all major Hasbro and Star Wars reveals!

[Update 7/28 12:43 AM] Clevver TV, while at SDCC, interviewed Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg all about Star Wars Rebels and Dave once again shows why he is the man and fan to lead Lucasfilm Animation.

[Update 11:45 PM] San Diego Comic-Con 2014 has finally come to a close and where we received a lot of great reveals and information, there is still so much to look forward to learning about Rebels, Marvel Comics, new novels and of course Star Wars Episode VII and its figure line. We’re still processing the glut of information so look for additional updates to our SDCC ’14 Coverage.

[Update 7/27 12:20 AM] Marvel Comics announced the new on-going and mini-series Star Wars comics they’ll begin publishing in January 2015. Check out Leia’s McQuarrie outfit and to learn more about the series click the pic below.

[Update 7/26 12:02 AM] We have updated yesterday’s The Black Series and Saga Legends additions to the Hasbro Booth Display with availability dates. Thanks to starwarscollector.com for the reference pics we used. To see the updated list scroll to the bottom of this post.

[Update 11:10 PM] Dave Filoni announced during the Del Rey’s Star Wars: A New Dawn panel today that we would be getting a new novel based on unaired Season 7 scripts from The Clone Wars animated series. Starwars.com again released a great liveblog from the panel and the description and image was provided:

New reveal! An Asajj Ventress novel (featuring Quinlan Vos) by Christie Golden! Filoni: “Ventress had become one of the most interesting characters…we had all this material, we had all these designs…This is based on scripts we had written with George Lucas…I’m super excited about this book.” Check out the cover!

[Update 1:50 PM] Hasbro’s Star Wars Panel provided some great new looks at the upcoming toy lines. We have put together a complete list of all the reveals which you can find here. Also starwars.com offered up a great liveblog feed with Hi-Res photos from the panel.

[Update 9:14 AM] Yet another clip from Star Wars Rebels is posted most likely due to the exclusive preview showing of the pilot episode last night at the con. Starwars7news.com has a review of the episode shown in the Lucasfilm Pavilion.

[Update 7/25 1:03 AM] A couple new videos we released about Star Wars Rebels. The first gives us a look at The Inquisitor’s lightsaber and was shown at the Star Wars Rebels panel and the other from IGN Live provides some interesting information especially about the back story of Hera.

[Update 7:19 PM] The Star Wars Rebels panel ends with a new look ahead at the animated series coming in October!

[Update 6:34 PM] Attendees of the Star Wars Rebels Panel were given a Holonet Registration Card which no doubt leads to the brand new Rebels viral Tumblr site Holonetnews.com.

[Update 5:11 PM] Hasbro has put out two SDCC Press Releases with one promising Hasbro booth “exclusive giveaways, an autograph signing and interactive panels”. Click the pic below for details.

[Update 10:41 AM] Is it possible we have a Star Wars Rebels multipack coming?

7/24 – We’ve updated with last night’s female infused Rebels Mission Sets, sad we have to wait until late Fall and Winter for the first 5POA female figures.

[Update 5:25] Yakface updates their Saga Legends Rebels ToyGuide with the newest reveals from Hasbro’s booth which also includes the characters rumored to be coming seen on Dan Curto’s Rebels Poster images from earlier this year.

[Update 2:24] Galactic Hunter’s Facebook page updates with more pictures from Hasbro’s Booth now that they have put up shelf tags with availability dates. They also reveal two Target Exclusive vehicles with figure and the newest Lifesize Vintage Figure from Gentle Giant: Boba Fett!

7/23 – Rebelscum.com provided the first look at what’s on display at Hasbro’s booth. And where they have yet to provide any pictures they are reporting an Imperial Troop Transport was seen. Stay tuned for further details!
