Despite the tons of information, both official and unofficial, that has dropped this week we are currently nowhere near the eye of the storm that will be released beginning on July 24th when San Diego Comic-Con kicks-off! This week SDCC released their program schedule and Starwars.com provided a breakdown of all the Star Wars goodness in store for attendees. Of highest priority for us will be Hasbro’s Star Wars panel.
Hasbro: Star Wars: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Room 7AB
Join members of the Hasbro brand and design team including Jeff Labovitz (director, Global Brand Marketing, Hasbro), Bill Rawley (design manager, Hasbro), and more as they discuss the popular Hasbro Star Wars line. Attendees will also get a sneak peek of upcoming, never-before-seen action figures from the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels animated series.
Now of course we will have our rebel agents on the scene to capture all the new reveals but in addition to this we will have the opportunity to sit down with the Star Wars Brand Team for a ten minute interview. We are looking forward to asking Hasbro about some of our burning questions but we also want to know what want to know. If you have a question you’d like us to ask the Star Wars action figure brand team let us know by either sending us a message on our official Facebook page or by sending us an e-mail at 4lomkuss@gmail.com.
We can expect lots of Star Wars Rebels news in addition to the two fun videos released this week. The LA Times gave us our first real look at ISB Agent Kallus and Starwars.com followed the creation and antics of the real Chopper.
And finally Dorksidetoys has put up for presale, with an October release date, eight new figures for The Black Series. These include:
- Luke Skywalker – Wampa Action
- Captain Rex
- Darth Vader – Yoda’s Test
- Darth Malgus
- Starkiller
- Imperial Navy Commander
- Princess Leia – Boushh
- R5-G19
Many of these have been rumored in the recent past but the return of the elusive Starkiller and Darth Malgus figures from The Vintage Collection is sure to make many collectors happy if they are indeed straight re-releases.
It goes without a saying all will be revealed in just two weeks at SDCC but until then,
May the Figures be with you!
