This morning Starwars.com announced the latest subline that will be joining The Black Series line: Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary Publishing figures. This wave of figures is meant to pay respects to characters from Star Wars' 40-plus years of publishing titles. This follows in the steps of the Holiday and Credit Collection lines that are meant to appeal to a subset of collectors. Unlike those previous waves, these figures are not exclusive to one retailer.
