Hot on the heels of this morning’s announcement, Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures figures have been found at Wal*Mart stores across the country. Galaxy of Adventures is a series of animated shorts based off of audio from the Star Wars motion pictures. The first six shorts are set to debut this Friday, November 30th, on the new Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.

Thanks to our friends at Yakface.com, we were successful with an after work toy run to our local Wal*Mart. The figures are not being stocked in the toy aisles but instead in shippers or PDQs at the end of the toy aisles.

Clearly designed to be a stocking stuffer this holiday season, these figures come packaged in a plastic tube, retail for just under $10 and with a second wave rumored on the way, our money will be on a Spring-time Easter release.

[UPDATED] Each of the figures included are repacks from recent releases and bear no significant or purposeful variant or change but no longer include their Force Link logos nor chips thus making them “new” figures for the loose completest collectors out there.

Each figure is packaged with a “small-scale tale from the galaxy’s greatest space saga” which really translates to a mini-comic featuring a section from Disney’s graphic novels from The Original Trilogy.

Hey, what copy editor forgot Chewie was in Episode III? If Artoo was in Rogue One then you bet Chewbacca was in Revenge of the Sith!

Having tie-in product for the release of Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures is a win for Hasbro and Lucasfilm as past ventures with figures based on animated-media has typically lagged behind the series debut. For Star Wars Rebels, the figures arrived late after the first episode and for Star Wars: Resistance which has already had 8 episodes, no action figures are planned until the Spring. Although just today, Hasbro announced new Micro Force figures exclusive to Wal*Mart will feature “squishy” versions of Resistance characters and set to hit Wal*Mart very soon.

Make sure to tune in this Friday for the debut of Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures on Starwarskids.com.

Until then,
May the Figures be with you!
