Merry Christmas Eve

With the anniversary of Episode 1 (and the beginning of the prequel phenomenon) now just 5 months away, we can't help but let our minds wander to the early years of The Chosen One and wonder what could have been. That and we have been binging on Scrooged, Mikey's Christmas Carol, The Grinch and It's a Wonder Life this holiday day season. Nevertheless, we wish you all a Merry Christmas Eve and may Old St. Nick drop a Star Wars present or two under the tree for you. “When you care to send the very best – you say it with Star Wars action figures!” Click here for more Star Wars Holiday greetings!

Birthday Scavenger Hunt – Day 7: The Rec Room & The Final 4 Figures

Welcome to the final entry in my Birthday Scavenger Hunt! Here's your final reminder to make sure to look over the details on how to play and enter to win all of the toys in the prize box by visiting Day 1’s entry. My family's rec room was a place of great joy for my sister and I growing up. The classic faux wood-paneled room hosted parties, holidays and countless hours of play. Here you can see that behind the present opening from my Transformers birthday (seen on Day 5) the room also acted as an on display toy box. I seem to always prattle on about how much I loved the Micro Collection growing up and here it is on display on the top shelf, a place [...]

Speculative Star Wars Rebels & Ep VII Figures

Last week's reveal of Toys 'R' Us' upcoming Star Wars Rebels Mission Series exclusive The Ghost, featuring a holographic Obi-Wan Kenobi, prompted us to revisit Dan Curto's leaked Rebels photo from earlier this year.  Now with the knowledge gained from Hasbro's San Diego Comic-Con presentation, we are fairly certain we can speculate about the numbering of and wave assortment of the upcoming Rebels figures. We know from online pre-sales that the first case available will include 12 different figures.  The first six being from the new animated series with the rest pulling from the previously released Saga Legends figures. We have 'X'd' out the figures that have been officially announced from Hasbro and color-coded them to match the photo's wave color-code.  Basic Figures - Wave [...]

Hasbro Cardbacks – 10 Styles and Counting

As new product has finally begun to reach store shelves, collectors are seeing two new styles of Star Wars action figure cardbacks.  In celebration of the release of The Black Series and Saga Legends series, From 4-LOM to Zuckuss is taking you on a brief look back at the different cardback styles of yesterday and today. 1)      “Classic” Style The “classic” style of cardback (established in 1978) set the standard for Star Wars action figure cardbacks with its rectangle 9” x 6” shape.  This is the only style of cardback that does not feature a J-hook type hanger but instead an isolated peg hole.  This is the most widely used and most popular style of cardback. Series to feature this style: Star Wars, The Empire [...]

A 4LOMKUSS Mystery – The Proto-Kaadu

We here at From 4-LOM to Zuckuss have come across a toy which appears to be a long lost ancestor of the Gungan Kaadu.  The only problem is we have no idea what property or series it comes from.  As this toy holds such a similar design to the Kaadu we are seeking help via our new Facebook page in identifying this "proto-Kaadu" and to see if we can make some connections between it and the concept artists for Episode 1.  Head on over to Facebook.com/4LOMKUSS to see more photos or to help us solve this mystery.
