Hasbro Star Wars Brand Team Q&A from Celebration Europe ’23

On the heels of Star Wars Celebration Europe, we wanted to share with you our Q&A with Patrick and Chris of the Hasbro Star Wars Brand Team. Mando Mania – Week 5 Reveals and Press Release

This week in Lucasfilm's Mando Mania Star Wars merchandise reveal campaign includes two new figures from The Book of Boba Fett. Previously announced as a Hasbro pipeline reveal, Black Krrsantan, known only as Krrsantan on the Disney+ show, is a screen accurate version of the Wookiee. this is the second release of this character as a comic version was released last year. This deluxe Black Series figure will retail for $34 and will be released this winter. The second figure from The Book of Boba Fett is another Luke Skywalker which will be added to The Vintage Collection. Mando Mania – Week 4 Press Release

Today kicks off the 4th week of reveals from Lucasfilm's Mando Mania event which coincides with the weekly release of The Mandalorian Season 3 episodes. Hasbro, much like last week, dropped two great-looking figures for their two collector-centered lines. The Black Series is treated to a Deluxe "multipack" of Luke and Grogu from their time in Jedi training. While the price is a bit steep for a single 6" figure and series of diorama accessories, the set is sure to be popular for multiple reasons with fans and collectors. The second figure features a super-articulated version of Cad Bane from his The Book of Boba Fett appearance. Mando Mania – Week 3 Press Release

With the debut of Episode 3 of the Season 3 of The Mandalorian just half a day away, Mando Mania reveals their third week of reveals. Hasbro brought out the big guns this week with two highly requested figure reveals. While both were announced via the Pipeline program months ago, this Tusken duo is sure to impress. The Black Series is treated to Tusken Chieftain while The Vintage Collection receives the Tusken Warrior. Both of these figures hail from The Book of Boba Fett figures and while the TBS is not due for another year, the TVC figure will be up for pre-sale tomorrow and will ship this Summer. TBS NED-B & Purge Trooper Carbonized 2-Pack Press Release

This morning Hasbro announced their next Black Series Amazon exclusive: NED-B & Purge Trooper Carbonized 2-Pack. This set, like previous Cabornized figures, are metallic/shiny repaints of previously released figures. At $75, this set averages the price of each of these figures to $37.50 which is a hefty price for both a basic and a deluxe figure. NED-B previously retailed last year for $33.99 and the Purge Trooper for $24.99. The yearly rate of inflation on Star Wars action figures has many fans and collectors feeling fed up and or frustrated with Hasbro's pricing strategies of late. The Geoffrey’s – 2023 Toy and Action Figure Awards

What February would be complete without the now annual action figure award show, The Geoffreys! The Toy Anxiety truly outdid themselves this year to bring a nonstop entertaining show featuring musical numbers, skits, special guests, commercials, Hall of Fame inductees, and of course toy and action figure awards! A Decade of the Galaxy of Toys Podcast

This past Saturday marks the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy of Toys podcast! On January 28th, 2013, creator and host Jason Luttrull put together a team of Star Wars experts with the simple task of talking about Star Wars action figures and toys. Over the years the show has added additional co-hosts, interviewed tons of prominent Star Wars collectors, been featured on the Podcast Stage at Star Wars Celebration, and inspired numerous spinoff podcasts such as Toy Run: The Star Wars Action Figure Cast, The Star Wars Spinner Rack, the IGrewUpStarWars Podcast, Star Wars Cosmos, and the Scavenger UK Podcast. Indiana Jones Fanstream Press Release & Images

This past week the Hasbro Indiana Jones Brand Team kicked off its inaugural Fanstream. This was both the first Hasbro Pulse Livestream of the year but also the first for this revived brand. The team at Hasbro is the same as the Star Wars Brand Team, which we assume behind the scenes is really the Lucasfilm Brand Team. We are very excited about the inclusion of the 3 3/4" Retro collection which brings the original figures to a new generation of fans. Fingers crossed that they will include new characters and complete the original run of figures.
