The 40th Anniversary Collection Logo

We are very excited about the many "rumors" that are peculating surrounding a "possible" 40th Anniversary Collection.  Hasbro multiple times last year stated that they would be doing something to pay tribute to the anniversary.  From what we have seen and heard so far, 6" collectors will be very happy. Today's reveal of the "potentially" logo, which Yakface.com also references, looks absolutely fantastic and hopefully as they have reported will feature the classic double racetracks. We are positive all will be confirmed in the next few weeks leading up to New York Toy Fair on February 18th-21st. Until then, May the Figures be with you!

Star Wars Episode VIII Revealed

Starwars.com revealed today the title for the upcoming sequel to The Force Awakens.  Star Wars: The Last Jedi takes its spot in the middle chapter of the sequel trilogy. We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.  Now we can't help but to speculate what it means;  is the title referring to Luke as [...]

Mads Debuts Galen!

Hasbro has provided us with the first loose look of the upcoming Galen Erso action figure. This figure comes included with a blaster and a mouse (MSE-6) droid and depicts the Death Star scientist in his imperial uniform seen in the movie on Eadu. While the MSE droid is a reissue, it has not been seen in the modern line since The Vintage Collection's 2012 Tarkin release. This figure made its actual debut on Instagram as the actor himself, Mads Mikkelsen, posted the first carded look of his figure. This special reveal may have been in response to his appearance on the red carpet at the Rogue One premiere when asked about having an action figure: Now who knows if we will be seeing either of [...]

More TV Figure Appearances Found

Thanks to the many collectors and fans who share their findings on social media we are able to add three more Kenner and Hasbro Star Wars action figure appearances to our Lights! Camera! Action (Figures)! filmography! On a very special Christmas episode of Cagney and Lacey in 1982 "I'll Be Home For Christmas", the detectives hit the stores only to pass by some beautiful packed-on-the-pegs Empire Strikes Back figures. Special thanks to Jason L. for the heads up and Toby B. for the use of the images! Next up, we have a more modern appearance in the form of a few Power of the Force 2 figures that appeared in an episode of Dexter. This scene appeared in Season 2's episode titled "The Dark Defender" which [...]

Director Thrawn – The Grand Admiral Variant

With the latest wave of Rogue One 3 3/4" figures hitting online etailers, there is now a new variant in the wild for those so inclined to pursue.  It appears the good Grand Admiral has the same ambition as Director Krennic as he can be found with two different ranks. Our TOY RUN co-host over at Jedibusiness.com received the correctly ranked Grand Admiral where we received a version mimicking the doomed director of the Death Star project. We are assuming the correct version as seen on Star Wars Rebels is the second version, produced after our own which bears the date stamp of Friday, October 28th, 2016. We do find it interesting that the card art bears the incorrect rank as well as seen below.   Here you [...]
