StarWars.com Officially Announces EU

Today Starwars.com announced in a press release that all previous Star Wars content outside of the six theatrical episodes and the six seasons of the animated series The Clone Wars as Expanded Universe.  This of course comes at a time when Lucasfilm, and its new adoptive parent Disney, are in the process of creating a sequel trilogy which is set to take place in an era of Star Wars which has already been documented in novels and comics.  So in order to eliminate this issue Lucasfilm's story group has chosen to streamline by making all future stories in comics, television and novels as canon thus making most everything that has been released in the past Expanded Universe. Republic Trooper joining The Black Series?

The toy e-tailer Dorksidetoys appears to be expecting a couple of figures in The Black Series which have yet to be officially announced by Hasbro.  The AT-RT Driver, which was last released as the 46th figure in The Vintage Collection, is slated to be re-released in Wave 5 of the collector focused The Black Series.  Allegedly joining this figure will be the highly desired Republic Trooper.  Not only is this recycled figure from The Vintage Collection as well but it will be the first time this figure will be available in brick and mortar stores as it was originally an online retail exclusive. Now its interesting to note that Dorksidetoys offers these figures up for pre-sell as part of Wave 5 along with: #26  Darth [...]

When Seattle, Star Wars & Comicon Collide

Just over two weeks ago From 4-LOM to Zuckuss attended and presented at Seattle's Emerald City Comicon. Despite the con not having a huge Star Wars focus there was plenty of ways for fans to indulge in the Force.  Prior to the convention we released our "Star Wars Guide to Emerald City Comicon" which detailed many of the Star Wars related panels and activities available at the con but even despite our research there were even more Star Wars fun to be had.  The following is just some of the fun we had at the con. The Exhibitor Hall Like many cons the exhibitor sales floor contained a wide range of vintage and modern, under and over-priced and well loved to minty mint action figures. [...]

Endor’s Red Shadows Secret Base

In 2010, The Official GI Joe Collectors' Club offered a couple of exclusives at their annual International GI Joe Convention held that year in Providence, Rhode Island.  One of the exclusives offered should look familiar to many long time Star Wars action figure collectors.  The Red Shadows Secret Base, which was limited to only 500 pieces, was created from the 1997 The Power of the Force 2 Endor Attack playset.  The Imperial's shield generator bunker was converted years later into a secret base for the terrorist group Red Shadows, a group which originally were the Cobra-like villains for the UK version of GI Joe; Action Force. The following photos are from Yojoe.com, the definitive site for all things GI Joe action figure related. Its [...]
