Have a Blast with Retroblasting!

This past weekend, we had the great pleasure of making the acquaintance of Michael and Melinda from Retroblasting. Retroblasting is a great Youtube channel focused on analyzing, critiquing, restoring and mostly celebrating toys and cartoons from the 80's. And since Star Wars action figures played a big part of that era, Retroblasting has paid it the attention it deserves on multiple occasions.  Michael and Melinda do such a thorough job in their episodes and restoration guides that we have added them to our "Collecting Resources" page and plan on hosting all their Star Wars focused videos here in the future. But for now, we collected a few of our favorite Star Wars action figure themed episodes and have posted them below. Do yourself a favor and give them [...]

Never Tell Me the Odds – The Black Series

The nice thing about the lull which typically takes place after the busy holiday season, is that it gives collectors time to take pause and review what was released the previous year and time to save for the coming one.  With this week's reveal of carded images of Wave 4 (Wave 1 of 2014) from The Black Series we thought we would once again take note of what this collector focused series has brought us so far.  The following provides first a list of the all 25 figures which have been released or pictured carded so far.  There are 8 addition figures we know of which are coming but have yet to be numbered or carded and so are not included in this list.  If [...]

The circle is now complete! What started on a Friday in October 2008 officially ended this past Friday. After almost 5 1/2 years, Star Wars: The Clone Wars came to a close with the debut of The Lost Missions.  As most fans of the series did, I too sat down and binge watched all 13 episodes late into the night.  Throughout the 4 hour and 45 minute marathon I took notes documenting my thoughts and digestion of each episode.  Here for those thoughts which come proceeded with the obvious "spoiler alert": ~ Please note: the streaming thoughts below were spoiler-free and include opinions, reactions, rhetorical questions and questions which have answers but were unknown to me at the time of viewing ~ S6E1 - The Unknown I need a [...]
