Kenobi’s The Vintage Collection Jedi Starfighter Varriation

Prior to the action figure drought (which ran from mid 2012 to mid 2013) Star Wars action figures were being released fast and furious through multiple lines such as Movie Heroes, The Clone Wars and The Vintage Collection.  With so many releases it was easy to fall behind and become fatigued with the amount of reissues Hasbro was providing.  The Vintage Collection's Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter from the opening of Episode III's Battle of Coruscant sequence was released prior to the drought with little fanfare as most collector's already had this vehicle and preferred their "vintage" vehicles to be from the Original Trilogy.  So Obi-Wan's Jedi Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor sat on Toys 'R' Us shelves and eventually turned up at discount stores such as Tuesday Mornings. Now [...]

The Star Wars Holiday Special Action Figure Celebration

In any self respecting vintage fan's house, the holiday season does not begin with Thanksgiving but instead with Life Day.  That’s right, tomorrow, November 17 is the 35th anniversary of the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special.  And like many old school aficionados, we'll be dusting off our bootleg DVDs (purchased from some shady booth at a comic-con long past) in order sit down and enjoy close to two hours of mostly forgotten Star Wars lore. Shown only once in 1978, virtually denied by George Lucas himself and never released since; the Holiday Special is a “special” type of Star Wars media.  It holds the honor of being one of the first Star Wars spin-offs to ever be produced.  A fact that is widely forgotten in today’s Star Wars saturated [...]

From 4-LOM to Zuckuss Attends Jet City Comic Show

On Saturday, From 4-LOM to Zuckuss attended the 4th Annual Jet City Comic Show in Tacoma, Washington.  As being just a one day event, it was deemed a show rather than a con due to its smaller venue.  Jet City has previously been held actually in "Jet City" AKA Seattle but this year it made the move to "Grit City" but kept their Seattle name. Despite its size it was great to see Star Wars was ever present  at the show.  From 4-LOM to Zuckuss attended the show as an exhibitor in our new campaign to swap superhero figures for Star Wars figures.  And where only 2 figures were officially "swapped" many were sold and bankrolled for future figure releases.  The exhibitors booths included the classic [...]

Is Forbes saying Star Wars Toys will ruin the Franchise?

Many of you have probably already heard the reports that Lucasfilm and Disney are reportedly at odds over the release date of Episode VII.  Forbes.com contributor, Scott Mendelson, has offered his view point on the subject in an article titled "Will Disney Sacrifice 'Star Wars' Films for 'Star Wars' Toys?"  found here. Now the question we pose to you is: Do you think this article is unfairly blaming our hobby and passion, of collecting Star Wars toy, for the potential ruin of the Star Wars franchise? We would love to hear your thoughts on this subject on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/4LOMKUSS.
